We're Hiring!

Los Angeles Food Policy Council is hiring for three positions: two positions are open in the Healthy Neighborhood Market Network, and one position is open to lead the Food Leaders Lab.

The Healthy Neighborhood Market Network (HNMN) is a program of the Los Angeles For Policy Council that builds the capacity of neighborhood markets in “food desert” areas to offer healthy food through business technical assistance and customized consultation, multilingual training events, and leveraging resources for healthy retail. The program delivers high-level comprehensive services to assist small businesses using expert reviewed educational material, and has been recognized nationally as an innovative model that addresses healthy food access holistically. Through our program, local store owners grow as business leaders as well as community health advocates.

Are you passionate food justice, small business and community development? Are you a growth-mindset person who loves excellence in program delivery while also making a difference for your community? Do you have experience working with small businesses or managing community development projects? Consider joining forces with us! Apply to be:

Senior Project Manager

Business Counselor/Program Associate

The Food Leaders Lab is a training ground to build a movement for Good Food For All by training and supporting community residents to take action for food justice and policy reform. Anchored in a 10-week leadership training course in partnership with several community-based organizations, Food Leaders Lab is a place to learn histories of food justice movements, political leadership, and implement campaigns for a healthy, resilient and just food system in Los Angeles.

Are you passionate about leadership development, community organizing and movement building? Are you experienced in program coordination or management? Are you a powerful facilitator with a deep belief in the power of people to win policy and systems change? Apply to be:

Food Leaders Lab Program Manager
